Lap 70/78
Hamilton pits again on soft compound tyres, looking for the fastest lap point. Meanwhile, Yuki Tsnoda scores the fastest lap. So far Norris is able to hold Perez for his podium place. Hamilton takes the fastest lap

It’s going to be Red Bull’s day if Perez gets past Lando Norris the gap has been reduced to less than 1 second. Lando is in danger of losing his podium place.
Lap 58/78
Sainz is now ready to put some pressure on Max but the gap is around 3 seconds, Max has never been pole in Monaco. Meanwhile, Ricciardo was lapped by Norris. The good news for Red Bull is Perez is picking up the pace and has reduced the gap between him and Norris can get himself into a podium place.

Lap 50/78
Yuki Tsnoda and Lance Stroll are the only drivers to pit, Hamilton is still struggling to get past Gasly, he has been relegated back to P7 due to the superb overcut performed by Seb Vetttle

If it stays like this then Max will lead the drivers’ championship. And all the drivers on the Hard Tyres, now there would hardly be any pitstop apart from that safety car.

Now Max Verstappen pits and Perez pits they both are ahead of Lewis now, what race for Red Bull, Max is leading Perez is in 4th position, and Vettle performed an overcut on Gasly and Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton pits and is followed by Valtter Bottas and a painful pit stop as the tyre refused to come off and his race is almost over. Sainz is now second. Bottas is out of the race courtesy failed pit stop

Bottas is in danger as Carlos Sainz is picking up the pace and Bottas is struggling with his tyres. It’s going good for Max Verstappen. There has been no opportunity for overtaking here top 5 still intact and now eyes on Pit Stops.

Bottas starts to drop off as the gap between him and Max grows to more than 3 seconds. Max is leading comfortably, in the meanwhile black and white flag for Lando Norris for exceeding the track limits.
Lap 18/78
Perez, started to build up a pace, he has thrown the fastest lap after the fastest lap, now his teammate responds as Max locked in the fastest lap. Bottas has been told to show the pace over the radio, pit stop might bring in some excitement, who will blink first. Top 5 intact so far.

So, far drivers are playing safe, the top 5 has kept their spot intact and nobody is looking threatening to anyone.

Max Verstappen has built up a gap of 1.20 seconds to Bottass, Lewis hasn’t changed his position he is still stuck in 6th position behind Gasly. Sainz is running for the podium.

The first 10 drivers remain intact even after the 3 laps
Opening lap and Max Verstappen did well to cover the gap and denied Bottas any chance of passing on the first corner, and the top 5 remain intact.
The formation lap is on and drivers are out to warm their tyres up.
The action is about to start in Monaco after a shocker of Leclerc now drivers are getting ready for the action, everybody gets a promotion to 1 place as the pole sitter Leclerc is out of the race now.
Gearbox problem took the local hero out of the action, he will not be part of the action at home, which sends Max Verstappen on the pole. The opening lap battle will be between Max & Bottas now.
Monaco GP is always unpredictable now Leclerc will not start from the pole.
