Cricket made its return on July 8th, 2020 as WI took on England in whites. For the first time, Ben Stokes lead the England side in the absence of regular skipper Joe Root. The root is on paternity leave currently. The Covid 19 situation hasn’t gone any better in most parts of the world. Cricketers are still very active on social media the current week saw the birthday of  MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly. Wishes came pouring in from fans and fellow cricketers, and DJ Bravo went ahead and launched a tribute song for his IPL franchise captain Dhoni.

India was top on the table during the round-robin league stage. But they were bowed out of the tournament in Semifinals against New Zealand. Despite the late heroic of Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni India fell short by 18 runs. Jadeja scored a quick 77 and took the wicket of Henry Nicholls and gave away only 34 runs in his quota of 10 overs. David Warner who remains highly active on Social Media these days posted through back video. In the video, Sunrisers Hyderabad players can be seen enjoying a small session.
